Christina Aguilera

The “Beautiful” songstress revealed in a 2011 interview with Jimmy Kimmel that she is legally able to drive before elaborating on her fear of getting behind the wheel. ”I have a driver’s license and I got it when I was 21. I am 30 now,” she said at the time. “I am terrified of driving in L.A., with paparazzi, running them over, you hear stories.”

Barbra Streisand

After getting behind the wheel during an episode of the Late Late Show with James Corden in 2018, the legendary singer revealed she had recently failed her written driver’s test three times and reflected on the moment she decided to give up driving for good. “I’ve been driving for a long time but I haven’t driven recently because my mind is twirling and sometimes — well, not anymore on the phone but it used to be — when I would talk, think, write and I found myself turning into an up-ramp of a highway and the cars were coming down and I thought, ‘That’s it, I’m not driving anymore,’” Streisand recalled.

The Saturday Night Live alum ironically spilled the beans about her lack of ability to steer a vehicle during a 2014 appearance on Jerry Seinfeld’s Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee. Fey noted that at one point she did have a driver’s license, but when it expired she decided not to renew it — and has since forgotten all she knew about operating a car.

Ed Sheeran

The “Shape of You” singer dished to Us Weekly in 2014 that he “can’t drive.” However, one year later Sheeran embarked on the journey to get behind the wheel. “Passed my driving test yesterday,” he tweeted in 2015. “Zoom zoom zoom.”

Kate Beckinsale

The actress opened up about her fear to drive while filming the 2013 film The Face of an Angel, based on the Amanda Knox story. “I can’t actually drive, but then I got a call from my manager to say, ‘Can you learn to drive in the next four days?'” she told the Telegraph at the time. “I don’t think it would be a very good idea — I’d probably end up killing myself and others, especially in Rome. Maybe if it was Arkansas or somewhere it would be less daunting.”

Vincent Kartheiser

The Mad Men alum revealed in 2010 that he opted to take public transportation to film the hit AMC series versus getting in a car. “It’s wonderful,” he told the New York Times. “Instead of driving and being stressed out about traffic, you can work your scene, you can do your exercises or whatever on the bus. Everyone’s got their own deal.” Kartheiser added: “I like that my life slows down when I go places. I have all these interactions with the human race and I can watch people living their life and not just in their car.”
